Sun Valley ski resort in Idaho, attracts a well heeled relaxed crowd. The kind of people who say they enjoy ‘rustic’ but are really looking for ‘perfect’. Sun Valley ski resort is a great destination to ski with some excellent terrain on offer that is very well suited to intermediates, but beginners are also very well catered for. In fact, beginners have their own mountain area, as new skiers are given the whole of Dollar mountain (see map) to learn their skills before heading over to ‘Baldy’.

The lift system is efficient, fast and well managed which keeps queues to a minimum even in busy periods. The pistes are perfect for intermediate level cruisers to enjoy the freshly groomed snow.

Snow conditions are often good, especially at the height of the season, and Sun Valley retains much of its snow especially up top.

In the resort there is a range of good quality accommodation.. The nightlife can be described as vibrant rather than riotous and there certainly ared some good quality spots to eat, drink and enjoy the apres.
