St Moritz ski resort in Switzerland is Internationally renowned and just 'fabulous' St. Moritz ski resort is synonymous with luxury and excellence. The resort of St Moritz although now truly cosmopolitan, was a firm favourite of wealthy English families in the late 1800’s. An Englishman is to this day, obliged to manage the Cresta run, and they even play cricket, the only difference being, its ‘on-ice’ cricket. Aside from this the resort now welcomes international visitors from all countries, the one thing they have in common, is their ability to afford the high prices. Fast forward 100 years (1977) and St Moritz was the location for the famous Bond film, The Spy Who Loved Me ski scene.

St Moritz is both a spa town and luxury ski destination frequented, by celebrities, royalty and the super-rich and so it has all the activities that befit such a clientele. Visitors to St Moritz can enjoy ice skating, golf, polo, horse racing and of course tobogganing on the Cresta Run.

For those who actually want to ski, St Moritz has some excellent ski runs. The resorts slopes are well managed and maintained and the altitude range ensures good quality snow through the season. The resorts altitude, aspect, location and climate ensure this a super resort for snow. The resort does cater for every level of skier, there are some great opportunities for free-style skiing a short shuttle ride away. St Moritz’s main ski area Corviglia is a real haven for intermediate runs, and the altitude range ensures you can cruise these longs runs with good snow throughout the season.

The resort of St Moritz of the piste is as attractive as on the piste. This resort has entertainment for all and is renowned for its quality cuisine. There are opportunities for Apres both on the slopes and in the town but do expect a degree of sophistication with the dose of fun. St Moritz visitors tend not to be inclined to table dancing to the latest euro hits, but a couple of glasses before readying oneself for a gallery or fine dining is always on the cards. For those who want to shop, St Moritz has it all, the right designer brands and unique boutiques that one would expect in such a resort, its just a bot more expensive than everywhere else.
