Sierra at Tahoe ski resort is one of the easier resorts to access from Sacramento and the Bay area. The ski area is shuttle ride away from the accommodation but there are some great day facilities available and so this is no hardship.

Sierra at Tahoe is renowned as a great family friendly and beginners orientated resort. Yes there are trails which experts will enjoy and would challenge anyone, but the bulk of the ski area is on a manageable gradient for beginners and intermediates which makes this a great place for anyone to learn.

The resort has a good snow record, but it is worth checking conditions before travelling as it does suffer from the occasional drought.

Most visitors to Sierra at Tahoe stay in South Lake Tahoe or they opt for the Stateline and take advantage of Nevadas casinos. The accommodation here is varied and plentiful and there is every type of entertainment on offer.
