Balderschwang ski resort is located near the German/Austrian border in the German region of Bavaria. The majority of runs are easy or intermediate which mostly run throught the forests the cover the moutains in the region. There are a range of winter activities available at Balderschwang such as cross country skiing and toboganing. Snow reliability here is relatively strong compared to other nearby resorts and it has modern snow making technology available. With the steepest draglift in Europe, Balderschwang is a popular resort in southern Germany and as a family run ski resort, they are very welcoming of families with young children learning to ski for the first time. Some more narrow tree lined runs combined with more open pistes towards the bottom of the mountain make this ski resort enjoyable for all level of skier. The nearest airport is Munich, which is 2.5 hours away by car.
