Aprica ski resort is located in the Lombardy region of Italy. Aprica is a popular resort with intermediate level skiers as the majority of pistes are red and it is a challenging treel lined red that leads skiers back to the resort. Beginners should not be put off, there is a very welcoming ski school and the facilities for beginners are good and so this can be a great place to learn to ski. The vibe in the village is relaxed, the village and slopes manage to accomodate in excess of 20 bars and restaurants, the vast majority of which provide good quality food and very welcoming environments. Aprica is a relaxed resort. The resort is relatively low and the peak is not high, but as a north facing resort, it does manage to keep its snow cover throughout the season, although it may become a bit scratchy or slushy, depending on the temperature on the slopes close to the resort at the lower altitude. The accomodation in Aprica tends to be chalets or guest houses and so the resort serves smallish groups and families very well.
