Sugerloaf ski resort is one of the most highly regarded resorts in Maine. The resort is renowned for good and varied slopes and some great Back Country.

The altitude here is pretty low, but irrespective of that the snow record is pretty good, add to this the fact that there is a full division of snow-cannons and which are in good positions all over the area and you’ll understand why Sugarloaf is a pretty snow-sure place to ski even when the conditions have not been great.

The resort has a good altitude range which rivals, and in many cases beats some of the big-name resorts in the western US. So there are some great long runs to enjoy for all levels or abilities of skiers. In addition the lift network is fast and efficient so this is a well planned resort to get around for both skiers and boarders.

The accommodation on the mountain is varied and there is something for almost every budget. In addition the resort has a good selection of bars and restaurants and the Apres scene is alive and kicking. Despite being lively the resort is still very family friendly with dedicated areas for new skiers and plenty of entertainment for kids or day care for the very small.
