Wolf Creek Ski Map

Wolf Creek ski resort is a fantastic spot to ski powder on uncluttered slopes and definitely worth the trek if powder is what you are after.

The ski region area is classified by Pistepro as ‘medium’ in size, but there is plenty of back-country skiing here to keep good skiers entertained. There are a variety of slopes, beginners through to experts are well served.

The lift system is basic and some of the trails do involve a bit of hiking, or a bit slushing along some flat to get to the lifts, so the resort does tend to favour skiers over boarders in this regard.

On the mountain there are all the basic facilities. Required, nothing here is flash or glitzy in any way, but who needs flash or gliutzy when you’ve got great snow and an awesome array of runs to ski.

There is no accommodation on the mountain by the lifts so skiers usually board in Pagosa Springs or South Fork which are a good half hour drive away from the ski area, so having access to a car is required when skiing at Wolf Creek. Budget conscious skiers will like Wolf Creek because it does tend to provide more for your money and the bars and restaurants in the resort are also very affordable.
