There are a range of pistes at Whitewater, but nearly 60% are for the experienced skier and so this is a paradise for good skiers looking for great powder and uncluttered slopes.

The slopes are a good 20Km from the resort accommodation and so a shuttle up the mountain from the village of Nelson is required. But for those keen on finding great snow and challenging terrain this is of no consequence.

Despite the lack of people on the marked slopes, cat and Heli skiing is popular here is many skiers want to explore every inch of the available powder on a varied terrain.

The resort of Nelson has a hippy vibe and an eclectic range of shops, boutiques and eateries. The town has a vibrant feel, but is laid back rather than glitzy. The accommodation tends to be basic and affordable with little in the way of frills, but still good quality.
