The ski region is interesting and varied. There are slopes to suit all abilities. Tree lined piste of varying difficulty, long groomers, or some steep chutes and moguls for expert skiers.
Altitude and snow conditions are usually very good. This is a high resort with a good altitude range and so the snow falls often and is well preserved.
There are plenty of cack country routes available to ski. Take a guide or explore the terrain on your own.
Cross country skiing is a big thing at Telluride. There are lot of runs to choose from and a great place to master your Nordic technique.
Accommodation in Telluride is varied, there are cabins and hotels, ski-to-door or locate yourself next to the shops. There is a free Gondola, which connects the mountainside accommodation with the old town. Families tend to favour the mountain location as it is a bit quitter.
Bars and Restaurants vary in Telluride. There is a great Apres scene with varying levels of sophistication and the nightlife in the town at the bottom of the Gondola is fun.
Telluride has a laid back vibe, but don’t be fooled behind the facade there is an efficient well managed ski resort with some great facilities and a well planned ski lift network.
