The peak here is at 2820m and so there is always good quality snow to be found throughout the season. The home runs to Serfaus can get a little sluggish towards the end of the season, but snow coverage is usually good and the majority of slopes are usually open throughout the season. Serfaus ski resort is popular with families, especially from Austrian, Germany and Netherlands, there are tour operators from other countrioes who venture here but Brits and Belgiums are in a minority. The slopes are laid out with features that will appeal to children and the facilities in the resort are geared towards family skiing. The Ski Dimension network is extensive and provides a broad range of runs at varying altitudes for all ski abilities. The Serfaus ski map shows reds and blue runs reaching right back into the resort which are skiable for the vast majority of the season. The pistes/slopes are mostly south facing, but as the resorts are higher than the typical Austrian resort the snow record is still good and the slopes are well managed. Serfaus is a modern resort, its layout ensures traffic is kept to an absolute minimum. Serfaus is the largest resort in the Ski Dimension region and has a slightly livelier Apres scene than the other resorts of Fiss and Ladis in the valley which are very much, family orientated resorts. Serfaus, Fiss and Ladis are all interconnected by a modern lift system.
