Powder Mountain (Pow Mow) manages to stay as quiet as it is, given the size and quality of the skiing here is beyond us.

Powder Mountain hosts one of, if not the largest ski area in the US, its sheer size does mean a lot of the slopes are ungroomed and so back country skiers will love it here.

The lift system is old when compared to some of the big-name resorts around the US, and many of the skiable areas are only accessible by bus or cat. Powder Mountain turns this to its advantage because it means the slopes are uncluttered and there are nearly always fresh tracks to carve.

The snow record is good at Powder Mountain and the resort prides itself on not requiring a battery of snow cannons and so the resort is also environmentally friendly.

Resort Apres and opportunities for night life are limited here. As the resort is very small and mostly made up of cabins and condos for family rentals. So table stomping nightlife of fine dining is not really an option on Powder Mountain.

However, the resort is remarkably accessible being only a short drive from Salt Lak City there are shuttles to the ski area from neighbouring resorts.
