Pescegallo - Valgerola ski resort is a small sized resort which gives a private and secluded feeling given its location in the beautiful valley of Valgerola and the nature of its 6 ski runs. Despite its very small size, the runs are varied in terms of ability, with an equal amount of beginner, intermediate and advanced runs so it caters to most skiers. One road winds up the valley to the nearby town and ski resort where there is a small amount of parking available. The ski scene here interestingly is known by racers and freestyles due to the varied terrain available, even though the resort only has 12km of marked pistes. Having said this, it does mean that the resort is typically quiet outside of ski school lessons. The resort also offers snowshoeing, snowboarding, ice-climbing and sledging areas. As with most Italian ski resorts in this area, it is rich in culture and history, and the ski resort website gives a great insight to the history of the surrounding area as well as the winter sports activities available.
