Ortisei sits within the vast Val Gardena Ski area, located in the Dolomites. Visitors have direct access to a broad range of slopes directly. The full Val Gardena region can also be accessed by a short bus trip within the valley. Given the size of this area, there are pistes and off piste runs to suit every skill level. The resort does best suit beginners and intermediates. Ortisei is a fashionable resort with a pedestrianised centre and a superb collection of ski shops, designer stores, bars and restaurants.
