Northstar California ski resort has under-gone massive enlargement and investment since 2010. The resort is modern, efficient, well managed, and has access to a vast skiable area.
The skiable area at Northstar is very large and has enough terrain to keep all levels of skiers entertained. Beginners will particularly enjoy the Northstar terrain as it is well planned to ensure new skiers can explore large areas and enjoy long runs. Experienced skiers will also enjoy this area, because of it’s vastness, however they should be aware that there are no double-diamond runs.
The snow conditions in Northstar tend to be good throughout the season, but when snow is needed there is a vast array of cannons to back up nature and so skiing to throughout the season is nearly always possible.
Back country skiing is possible at Northstar and there are some designated woodland ski areas for back-country skiing, that should entertain the more advanced skiers.
Bars and Restaurants on the slopes and in the resort tend to be good quality, suitable for families, but also expensive. This modern resort has an air of exclusivity and prices to match. There is some very good quality accommodation in Northstar and you can choose between good quality hotels or high end condos. If you are looking to ski Northstar on a tight budget….. think again.
