Valais, Switzerland
Nendaz is a large, purposely built ski resort which has access to the largest network of slopes in Switzerland - 4 Vallees. It's quieter than it's glitzy neighbour, Verbier, but there is still plenty of life in the restaurants and bars for those looking for a night out. The slopes suit intermediate skiers, but as part of the enormous 4 Vallees everyone can find a piste to suit them from here. The sheer size of the 4 vallee's ski area, and the variety in its terrain, make 4 vallee's and Nendaz a mecca for freeriders as well as well heeled on-piste skiers. The resort is expensive, even by Alpine standards, however, it less expensive than the world famous resort of Verbier in the next valley and therefore is a very well regarded option.
