Narvikfjellet ski resort in the Northern part of Norway is a small ski area close to the the busy town of Narvik. The skiing here although limited is almost unique in the sense that skiers can get a cable car to just over 1000m and then ski almost back down to sea level with the beauty of the fjords laid out before you.
The resort is popular with cross country as well as having facilities for alpine skiers and boarders. There is a real variety of mixed runs with a good balance of green through to red runs and a black to entertain the more advanced skiers.
Narvik is a town rather than a village and therefore has plenty of accommodation at varying price points and plenty of facilities to entertain visitors. This is the only resort we know of which is both a cruise destination and a ski resort.
