Mount Hood Meadows ski resort in Oregon is the largest and most established ski area on Mount Hood.
The resort is popular and well established, so do expect crowds at thee weekends, but if you have the time to ski during the week and the conditions are good this is an excellent, cost effective area to ski.
The slopes here are varied with a good mix of terrain and slope types. The skiable area is quite large and so the varied skiing does attract good crowds. The lioft system is efficient and modern which helps keep queues short, but during weekends and when there has been a good dump of snow the ski area can get busy.
The Mount Hood Meadows ski area, is also popular as a cross country and snow-show Trail area as well.
The day facilities on the mountain are very good as there is no on-mountain village or accommodation available, which means day-skiing here is popular.
