Lenk Bergbahnen ski resort is a medium sized ski resort that sits within the larger “Adelboden – Lenk” ski area. It is known for being a family friendly ski resort, that offers a range of winter snow sports activities such as skiing, snowboarding, sledging, airboarding and paragliding. The resort is best suited to intermediates and beginner skiers, with a variety of well pisted blue and red runs mostly covering the ski area. The resort is overall situated in a lower than average position, between 1000 and 2000 metres above sea level, although snow reliability higher up the mountain is good. There are multiple learning areas for children who want ski lessons, or just to practice on the many drag lifts. At one of the mountain peaks called “Leiterli”, there is a restaurant, café, and access to some off piste skiing and cross-country skiing which explores the other side of the mountain before returning to Betelberg village. The popular “Tschuggen” red ski run is a great way to make the return trip to the village, which cuts through the forest giving a nice variety of speed and scenery. The towering snow-covered trees give an excellent sense of true alpine skiing and is suited to most abilities. The nearest airport is Bern, which is only 80km away, or alternatively Geneva airport is 171km away.
