Kaprun Ski Map

Kaprun ski resort manages to combine traditional Austrian elegance some great new modern apartment complexes with some boot thumping Austrian Apres ski bars. The resort is large but the lift access to the slopes is separated along the valley and so most hotels are within a small walk or a very short bus ride to the cable cars. The ski region is split into two broad areas, one which is accessible via Kaprun and one from it's neighbour resort Zell am See. In combination they provide 136km of groomed pistes. Travel between the resorts is via an efficient bus link which takes approx. 20 mins from village to village. The ski area around Kaprun ranges in altitude from 768m right to 3029m which is high enough to take you to the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier. The season is long and the lift network remains open late into the year as skiing from a high altitude is possible in Kaprun.
