Hintertux ski resort sits at the top end of the valley and has an altitude of 1500m. Access to the ski area is via cable car which takes skiers up to 2100m from here the altitude range is good as the top is a very respectable 3220m. The accommodation in Hintertux tends to be used by skiers who want easy access to this ski area, there is very little in the way of 'village life' in the resort. You can ski in this location all year due ti's altitude and so it tends to attract lots of day trippers throughout the year.
