Glencoe ski resort in the Highlands is Scotland’s oldest resort. The main ski area which has a range of runs is accessed via a chair lift from the main car park. There are 16km of varied runs here from green to black, so this is a great place for beginners and more experienced skiers to enjoy a day or two on the slopes. If the conditions are good Glencoe really is worth checking out as although only small by european standards there is some great intermediate skiing here at Glencoe.

Glencoe Mountain Resort is in a beautiful part of Scotland a long single lane track enables skiers to drive to the base lift station. There are limited facilities in the area that are ‘walkable’ apart from at the base station with a cafe and ski hire. However, you can hire a pod at any time of the year and so if you are a small group this is an ideal place to stay for a couple of nights. The lack of walkable facilities adds to the remote feel of the resort and is part of its charm. With a car, there are plenty of great pubs, bars and cafes in the region to enjoy after your days skiing, there are some great quality hotels and pubs serving really good food for those who want to explore the Glencoe area.
