Gerlos ski resort is set at 1250m, and this is quite high by Austrian standards so ski to door is often possible. The Zillertal Arena ski area suits families well and Gerlos provides direct access to a large ski area with 100's of Km of slopes. There is a range of slopes on offer, but the resort and area best suits intermediates. Boarders and skiers alike will like the opportunities there are for off-piste of free-rides in Zillertal Arena.
