Altitude and snow conditions
Castle Mountain resort is at a good altitude and the altitude range is decent, so you can often find good conditions here throughout the season, with decent amounts of powder when conditions are right.
The lift network
Castle Mountain is an established ski area which has been in operation since the 1960’s and although updated the lift network is not as modern as some it’s big name neighbours. That is not a problem in this resort and queues do not tend to be a problem.
The range of pistes
There are a good range of pistes which suit all levels of ski ability, however experienced skiers are most likely to get the best out of this resort with its cat skiing and extensive number of Diamond and double-diamond runs.
Back country skiing
Castle Mountain provides plenty of opportunities for back-country or off-piste skiing.
