Borovets Ski Map

Borovets ski resort is located in the highest range in Bulgaria, the Rila Mountains. The altitude of the resort and range are 1300m with a top of 2550m and so snow conditions are often good throughout the season. The pistes that lead back to the resort are predominantly red and blue with some nursery areas at a higher altitude all accessible via cabins or chair lifts. Borovets has a good amount of pistes both for Alpine and cross-country skiing. The resort slopes suit intermediates and beginners well, but for the advanced skiers, there are some good off-piste challenges to be found. Borovets is a family friendly resort and a cost effective option when compared to the alpine resorts. Borovets does have a good selection of bars and restaurants for visitors to enjoy and Apres ski can be lively when the sun is shining. Borovets is a popular destination for those learning to ski on a semi-reasonable budget and the resort is very welcoming to all. Accomodation at Borovets has improved over the last 10-20 years and there are a real range of options available.
