Bormio ski resort is located in the Sondrio region of Italy. The town is small but well established. The resort is technically 'medium' in terms of its slope size classification, but it right on the edge of being considered 'small'. That said, there are 50km of pistes and the town is a regular destination for the Alpine World Cup which accounts for some of its fame, as well as being a great deestination for family skiing and a vibrant apres scene. The vertical here is big with almost 2km of sheer drop from the top of the mountain to the resort below in the valley. Bormio ski resort is as snow sure as you cvan get in the Alps, there is always some good snow on the mountain. The resort itself is traditional with a range of accomodation types that wont break the bank. Pistepro throughly recommend for intermediate skiers with families. The costs are reasonable, the bars are limited in number, but great fun and there is plenty of fun to be had on the slopes, that suit intermediates who like a little challenge well.
