Anzère ski resort in Valais, Switzerland is smaller than its big name neighbours like Verbier or Zermatt. The altitude range here is good and despite having a peak of 2420m the snow record here is good. This is a charming resort, despite being predominanatly a 1960's build. The village is car free and the resorts focus on a clean environment and the large chalet accomodation available make this a popular small resort for famillies. The lift system is more than adequate for a resort of this size and there is a convenient link to take skiers from the centre of the village to the main ski area, which meanas you can snap your skis on in the morning and get to the slopes without the hassle of a lengthy walk. The resort caters well for those who are looking to snow show and nordic ski and there are plenty of marked trails for non-skiers to follow. This is not a lively resort, but it still has a very good selection of bars and restaurants to enjoy a bit of Apres or a good local meal. The skiable terrain is mostly tree lined, but also varied, there are a good selection of runs from Greens through to blacks to challenge all levels of skiers.
