Alpe di Mera ski resort in Italy is a small gem. The resort is at an altitude of 1350m but accessed via a chair lift further down the valley near the town of Scopello. This is a very small resort, but when conditions are good this is a great place to find cost effective accomodation. Facilities on the slopes include a few places to eat and drink, with a very relaxed and casual style.
